Minutes for January 5, 2017 Board of Directors Meeting

The January 2017 meeting was called to order at 8:25 PM by Dennis Logie, President. The meeting immediately followed the Annual Membership Meeting where all nine of the current Board members were reelected for 2017. Board members present were Dennis, Steve Bowerman, Pete Lewis, Pat Michael, Bill Picht, Dave Reck, Angelo Rizzato, Hiro Tarumi and Rob Weiss.


1. The December 2016 Board Meeting Minutes were approved as written. Minutes are sent to all Directors, posted to the Club website, and sent to Donna O’Farrell for historical recording.

2. The December 2016 Treasurer’s Report was approved as submitted by Treasurer, Angelo Rizzato. The report showed a decrease in assets held by the Club of $3697.99 for the month of December 2016. The report was approved as written.

3. 2017 Board Officers – The Board members agreed to maintain the positions of the prior year; i.e. President – Dennis Logie, Vice President – Steve Bowerman, Treasurer – Angelo Rizzato, Secretary – Pat Michael.

4. Holiday Party – Pete Kutch submitted a written report of the party highlights. The report expressed Pete and Deb Kutch’s appreciation for all the understanding and support they received. The report went over the pro and cons of the venue, caterer, and program. The overall assessment was that the party was a very successful event.

5. Club Shirts – Mark Kaufmann, as a guest, explained the various options the Club has if they want to offer Club shirts to the membership. The Board prefers to minimize the options to maybe one type of shirt, one type of material, and one color combination. Women’s shirts will have a feminine style. Mark will price the shirts and report back to the Board. Mark also announced that he plans to retire from his uniform printing business this year.

6. Saturday League – Rain still hampers the Saturday games with only two Saturdays being played so far.

7. Open Forum suggestions – Postponed

8. Day Play rules – Postponed

9. 2017 Tournament – The June 22-25, 2017 dates for the RWC tournament are the same as a tournament in Tuolumne for the weekend dates. Dennis will ask Jerry Marsh if he can once again direct the tournament.

10. Change of Bank – Postponed

11. Señors Logo locations – Postponed

12. San Carlos Thank You gift – Postponed

13. Round Table – Due to the late time because of the Annual Meeting preceding the Board meeting, the Round Table was postponed.

Meeting was adjourned at 9:30 PM. The next monthly Board Meeting is scheduled for Thursday February 2, 2017.
